This update have a lot of uncomfortable setting. I dont mind the power-up becomes rare spawn. But there is always a big lava waiting for me, when I use magical shovel. There is also a lot ghost, orge, lava or "collapse" happen to me, when I have nothing to recure myself. Less fun. This game is best for me before this update. I hope DEVs can find out the balance of "fun" and "difficult".

The game was fun until the latest update. Now its too hard to survive and not fun to play anymore. If you havent already updated to the latest version, DONT! If the game developers want a challenge then they should make an update that lets the player choose between easy, medium, and hard. All with their own high scores. If it doesnt get fixed Ill just find another game to play.

One thing I loved about this game is that I could play it without much thought and it was fun to dig down gathering power-ups and avoiding baddies. My high score was 570k points. After the update Ive begun to be more frustrated with the constant deaths and rarity of power-ups and I can barely get 150k points. Im not asking to change the game back but I thought the developers should know that the game after the update is less desirable and I would venture to guess people are less likely to buy it.

Hopefully they read some of the new reviews. I used to love this game but now it is way too hard. There are no power ups and the cave constantly fall. I used to score above a million and have long game plays. I now struggle to break 100,000. I like that they wanted to make it more difficult but this is way too much.

I love the game. Its addicting and overall an ok game. My main concen is that the controls are hard to use. Instead of making you drag the screen to make Doug move, you should implement a d-pad to make moving around easier.

I use to love his game it was a lot of fun then they updated and made it a lot less fun you dont hardly see any good items anymore and that makes it boring shouldnt have done the update

If you dont have this game you must live in a cave. Like the ones dug discovers with ogres in them and lava!!!

My kids L-O-V-E Doug dug. My 8yr old wants to know if you can add a tunnel feature. Tunnel would appear at far right or left side of the screen, and upon entering you are faced with 3 tunnel options - left, right, or straight. Arrow points, you choose and then you reappear randomly say 50 meters above or 150 meters below point where you entered tunnel. Or, you may find a cave or chamber with chest of goodies, room full of monsters, or a dead end.

Ive been playing this game for months and I cant stop. It seems the creators are open to feed back and each release seems to address one issue or another. Overall the game runs smoothly and Ive never found it too hard, though I dont always agree with the physics. Overall great game to kill the time

The changes have completely ruined the game. Little chance for much success now. With all the complaints, its clear the developers just dont care. Done. Goodnight and good luck.

Up until the last update I would rate this a perfect 5 stars. I hesitated to update because the update description sounded terrible, but I had to do a factory reset do to an issue with my iPhone. This required me to update. Wow was I right...the update basically ruined the game for me. Im not quite sure what the intention was here but taking all of the fun chaos out of the game has reduced it to boring with constant death. Were people complaining that the game was too stressful and tense? This was my favorite game and I couldnt have been more addicted. Change it back PLEASE!!!!!! This is a high score game......leave it at that, dont try to make it a super hard grueling take forever game. Edit 5/14: I dont think I would have argued that the crates could be reduced but I just played a game where I didnt see a jackhammer, immortal or helm until Id built about $60K. If this is how the game was originally released I wouldnt have known the difference. I liked it better when you picked up items that extended your life more regularly. It causes you to take chances and attempt to descend at a faster rate. You still had to manage how to come out of a jackhammer descent without causing an avalanche that smushes you. Same goes for immortal and the helm. Im not exactly sure what was broken. My high scores have gone from the $500 - $800K range to around $175K. I have tons and tons of games on my phone but this was my "go to" game. That has changed in the last week. Ill still play but not nearly as much.

This is a well made game with lots of soul. Dont listen to all the complainers about the difficulty, people should reconsider writing a bad review solely based on difficulty. I love this game and so will you. It should be rated one of the best apps in the App Store. Easy controls and distinctive gameplay. Its one of my all time favorites on any device.

The game is grate 10 out of 10 its a fun and challanging game yes it got harder but i think its better now than ever so get the app now

I agree with someone saying you should have three difficulty settings (easy, medium, and hard) make crates drop more on easy and medium. But honestly Im pretty happy with it just the way it is! (My rec is 96K)

A bit unhappy. I just updated and my high scores disappeared. It reverted back to scores from a few months ago. Please fix this! Very disappointed!

Enemies are just about completely harmless with this update. This game is essentially boring now. I will be deleting this game and I will try and get a refund from Apple. I am a bit sick of developers "fixing" games that arent broken.

Update 2/7/14 --- PERFECT!!! The latest update has fixed all the issues I had with this game caused by the previous update. I recommend this game to anyone who wants to have a game that will help you kill time while waiting for anything. Dont believe the rest of the haters. P.S.- No more updates please! This was one of those rare gems that I played on a daily basis. I would play this game 3 to 4 hours a day. Yes I was addicted. But thanks to your recent update, I am no longer addicted and play this game zero minutes a day. You totally have lost the concept of what a fun casual game is. The game balance was perfect before the update. Now its just frustrating and just not fun. My advice to everyone is to avoid this game at all cost until the changes are reverted back making it one of the best games on the App Store.

Its a great game but I hate the new scoreboard update. I dont care what my 102nd lowest score was, bring back just the top 10

Live the enemy difficulty! It allows you to keep that fast paced melee feel, that otherwise would get slowed down. How bout you just give the game a hard and easy mode, that way you appease everyone. I agree just do a top 10.
